Role Overview
The Salesforce CPQ Architect with Pre‑Sales expertise will play a dual role—acting as both the technical architecture lead and a persuasive pre‑sales consultant. This remote position is ideal for a seasoned professional who excels at designing scalable CPQ solutions and guiding clients through proof‑of‑concepts, demos, and RFP responses.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design
Lead end‑to‑end Salesforce CPQ implementations—translating business needs into cohesive, scalable quoting and pricing architectures. This includes product bundles, price rules, workflows, approvals, and quote templates.
Pre‑Sales Engagement
Support pre‑sales efforts by crafting technical proposals, conducting needs assessments, leading discovery workshops, building prototypes or proof-of-concepts, and participating in RFP responses.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with sales, finance, operations, and product teams to align CPQ strategy with business objectives. Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Technical Leadership & Delivery
Oversee CPQ configurations, manage integrations, and guide the technical delivery lifecycle—from design through deployment. Mentor junior team members and uphold best practices.
Quality Assurance & Enablement
Contribute to testing strategies, documentation, and change management for successful adoption. Provide training, detailed design specs, and enablement materials.
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated track record with Salesforce CPQ architecture and hands-on implementation (configurations, product modeling, pricing, approvals, templates).
Experience in pre‑sales roles—especially in discovery, proposals, demos, and RFPs.
Proficiency in leading technical design sessions, delivering solutions, and working with cross-functional teams to drive adoption.
Preferred certifications: Salesforce CPQ Specialist, CPQ-focused Architect credentials (e.g., Application Architect or CTA).
